Inspector Gadget is a French-American-Canadian cartoon that follows the adventures of a police inspector transformed into a kind of robot with various gadgets after an accident. His greatest enemy, Dr. Claw, also suffered in the same accident, losing a hand and becoming a villain. In Brazil, it was broadcast on Rede Record and SBT in the 90s, and recently on Rede Aparecida. In Portugal, it debuted on RTP1 in 1990 and then on SIC in 1994, being later shown on other channels. The pilot episode, titled "Winter Olympics", was produced in 1983, where Inspector Gadget had a mustache that was removed due to a complaint from MGM about his resemblance to Inspector Clouseau, played by Peter Sellers in 1963's "The Pink Panther". .
